One of our good friends wanted to spend his birthday on a 1001 night style roadtrip with his closest friends. So that’s exactly what we did. They came over to Marrakech. We all stayed together in one of the luxury hotels in Marrakech. We had a resting day at the pool, diner with a bellydance show and a clubnight. The next morning we where picked up by a deluxe bus with one of our chauffeurs for a trip to the Moroccan desert of Merzouga. We stopped at the most beautiful places on the way. We had a delicious lunch on the rooftops of Ouarzazate. Once we arrived in Merzouga we stayed one night in an “auberge” which is actually some sort of castle at the foot of the desert with luxury rooms, swimming pool, quads, camels, restaurant etc. After a delicious welcome diner we went to sleep. The next day we relaxed at the pool. Near sunset we where taken to our camels for a sunset trip to a secret luxury desert camp. We arrived with a welcome diner, had a campfire with live music show, marshmallows etc. After a magical night outside of our luxury tents we had a beautiful sunrise climb up the beautiful desert hills with a view that will take your breath away. This has now become a tradition and some of the friends have been back to Morocco several times after this epic birthday.
